Random 2 rain effect The 2 screenshots above, were taken during the recent Holidays . The BC RAIL # 630 is an RS 18 from the freeware BCLW RS 18 "Megapack" . What I really like with those shots, is the "morning fog" / mist effect , that is indeed very typical of the Pacific West Coast "coastal areas" . The scenery setting I was attempting to replicate is actually part of what they call "the Coastal Range" ( of the Rocky Mountains ) . What I found , is that the "rain" pattern , such as the MSTS "default", was too "coarse" ( for my desire ) and heavy in a way , to represent usual rain pattern , in the area I represent . What I did, is to replace the "rain" ace texture in my Test 1 route, with one borrowed from one of the two "Japan" defaults MSTS routes . Voila ! BC "morning fog" ...'-) In those 2 shots, I selected an Autumn season setting , and in the main "Advanced Display" option , I "unchecked" the textured sky option . As a matter of fact , I still have a major-major "glitch" with the "textured sky" setting , for rain / snow / and night settings . I haven' t come across a "patch" or a "fix" for the default MSTS settings for this. Any suggestions would be very welcomed ... Jean Brisson Mesa Grande Shops

holy haha i got some work to do ha thanks As long as you're in that area, the grade crossing just east of the bridge over the Pipestone should be a highway underpass. (The Pipestone being the river just east of the end of the GRP)

Feb 6, 2008 Those Terretex tiles …again … What follows , is basically “under construction” / “work in progress” , and does not necessarily represent what “pops up” as screenshots / only in the “before” ( unretouched ) screenshot. Just so you know in advance . Just testing some ideas , here, for “Scenery” mesh , to apply to absolutely barren Route “tiles” / Before and After , type of photo sequence . Above the tracks is pure/ absolutely unretouched from MSTS / below the tracks only … , is “photoshopped” / all test textures have been saved . The bottom half has been “cloned” , in the “after” shot, using “swatches” taken from the same scene, above the tracks . The very last image, only took 10 minutes to produce . Before… After … Jean Brisson Mesa Grande Shops
