Anyone is now invited to sign up for my own BC_RAIL_Diesels Yahoo ! SIG Group . This covers all the modelbuilding scales, and now started to include V scale . You can also post screenshots and photos in the Files section . This is fully moderated , also . Her's the link to the Home Page below . You guys are all welcomed to visit us ( the PGE BCR Modellers SIG Group ), at Trains 2007, at the cameron Rec Centre in Burnaby , BC , this November 10 and 11 . Thanks for the quick response / the challenge I have with "Forums" type of format is that I do not get instant email notifications, of any new incoming messages .
But hey ! I check this Forum here, daily ( during weekdays / "Office Pirate" by the way ... ) '-)
As far the various Yahoo SIG Groups revolving around the PGE - BCR - BC RAIL, the only one that is not "fully moderated", is called BCR_Locos . All the others, have a basically a flawless record at keeping spammers and "spam bots" out to pasture .
The Groups are significantly active , compared to most other similiar groups, and we are now even getting model railroad products "custom-built" for us , and have done really well at what we may call "Lobbying" .
I, personally, am taking the initiative to incorporate V scale "into the mix", as I fully realize the incredible amount of work you guys are all doing .
Couple quick things in closing : I do have a Display Table reserved for Trains 2007, and am totally open to introduce the work of BCLW at this event .
If anyone has a laptop ( with sufficient battery supply for 2 full days ) , I would definitely love to set up this Laptop for showcasing the work of the BCLW folks . There will be plenty of security , and the Show has Insurance coverage as well .
Le me know if this can be worked out ( mesagrandeshops@yahoo.ca )
Last general comment , here : I totally agree on BLW looking at the "payware" format . There is no point offering all those "freebies", unless you are promoting something that can produce revenues ( such as a Route package , with "exclusives" built in the payware package ) .
As far as the "name" ( BCLW ), this is great as is, but the "Maple Leaf" along with the "logogram", can be blatantly associated with "Maple Leaf Tracks" . I am dang proud of just how our BC flag looks like , and there's no mistaking as far as who stands behind this great venture .
To be continued ...
