The following screenshots show what I have accomplished, after 3 - 4 weeks of pro active design in MSTS ( with the usual 6 to 9 months reading the Forums , downloading stuff ) . Not sure if I can upload those screenshots at the first attempt, but I' ll try . Generally speaking, I am trying to represent the area of the BC RAIL , just north of Lilloeet , in the Fraser Canyon . The "Terrain tiles" were actually a "sampling" taken from a High Resolution digital photo, and converted into the proper format , for MSTS . [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] More to come, obviously ...'-) Jean Brisson doing business as Mesa Grande Shops

Nice shots, but your models seem a little pixelized.

Jean
Nothing came through as to your links so try and try again. Are you doing a certain portion of the BCR from Lillooet north up the Fraser Cyn part for MSTS or model railroading. If its for MSTS the route were constructing the track gang is back to work laying rail from Exeter southward...hence the PGE(Prince Goerge eventually) theme..

Thanks for all the very quick reply / comments / this is all well taken , as I know you guys are trying your best to help me . As far as the "dysfunctional" link to my Flickr gallery , there is an "incompatibility" in the address for the Gallery itself, with the programming "language" used by this Forum . Yes I know ! But I' m one not to give up that easily , and here is a shortcut way to access the data anyway ( I also tested it before posting this ). The link below will provide the results of a "search" of Fickr, for "people" . The screen that will open up , already is at the "results" . Simply click on the smallish blue "photo" link below the name BC_Rail_Models This will open up (my) Home page . You could then either view the screenshots individually , as a "slide Show " I have 2 (slideshows ) now, one titled : BC RAIL Train Sim screenshots ( which I revised from yesterday ) , and a new one titled : Harvest Season 2007 on MSTS (digital) BC RAIL . One again, sorry for the "extra baggage" to address the hyperlink "thing yie" ... www.flickr.com/search/people/?q=%22BC_RAIL_Models%22&m=namesJean Brisson Mesa Grande Shops

As it relates to the screenshots" resolution" , making it simple, this is "bottom fishing" at best . The screenshots are JPEG's , at 47 K file size, at the very most .
My Home computer is Windows 2000 , "Value Village" 25 dollar deal, and my monitor, almost "a steal" , at 6 bucks from yet another thrift shop .
No need to say I have to use the lowest possible resolution settings for everything . Although , one thing I understood, from recording ( digital ) music in a Downtown Vancouver studio, is that , before you "finalize" anything , you test is out using the smallest / cheapest "car radio" speaker boxes you can find . If it passes this "worst case scenario" test with "flying colors", it's gonna be awesome , on much better quality systems .
Also, related to overall "color intensity" , seems my monitor ( not a flat screen ), is a bit on the "dark side" . Further throwing me into a loop, is tha tthe FLICKR gallery , seem to outright "bleach" my screenshots . Mmmm???
I' ll eventually get around to posting those screenshots directly within the Forum ( for the Benefit of all ) .
Any tips and "guidance" for doing this, would obviously be welcomed (as there may others out there, also wanting to post some screenshots as well ) .

I already have seen some of the work done , around the Exeter area, and I was totally impressed by the accuracy of the trackplan itself . Wow !
For one thing , I would definitely be more than delighted to cooperate with anyone (or group) , who are building south from Exeter .
I already have a more than decent "Production Portfolio" for the Fraser Canyon portion to Lillooet , but I really would want to make sure this work some of you are pursuing, is as close as anyone can make this, as far as a "scale replica" , as it relates to degrees of curvatures for the track , grade , and of course, "scenery" .
Keeping in mind the desirability of designing a "payware"product , as far as the BC RAIL portion of the Fraser Canyon , no one can afford to "take shortcuts" on making it just as spectacular as it is , in real life .
You guys let me know if I can help with this .
Related to the Lower Mainland, I also have started a production portfolio, from emerging from the Tunnel underneath Lonsdale Quay, going North , towards the Mosquito Creek marina . I may want to extend this to the east side of the North Vancouver area ( as far as documentation ) . Further East, I would want to "link" this with the CN Railway Bridge over Burrard Inlet , at the Second Narrows bridge area .
But for now, "The Canyon" , I want this , more than anything else ! '-)
Let me know if you' d need some help and collaboration !

Jean all track work is being done from 1985 engineering profiles so its accurate for the time period.I also have some friends hogger types that have the route so far for testing and are impressed with the track work. As to payware I've seen some payware routes that have been haplissly put together.

This is excellent ! I do know your work is extremely accurate, and as mentionned, I was actually pleasantly surprised . Without saying that 1985 also is my favorite time era for BC RAIL .
Now, concerning such as scenery , and trackside features , etc .... Would you require any help with those ? I would certainly be willing to "roll up my sleeves" for this, as I would definetely become a "power user" of this segment of the route . Let me know ... '-)
Keep up the excellent work, and sure enough , we can all wait for as long as it takes, for such caliber of work.

I have rotated a few screenshots in my " BC Rail Train Sim screenshots" gallery on Flickr. Follow the link at the bottom of the message , here, and click on the blue small "photo" link below the name BC RAIL MODELS . As far as 'resolution" , etc ... , I did attempt having my screenshots come out in ".BMP" file format . I did compare between this and the ".JPEG" format , and any difference in "resolution" would be so subtle, that I cannot detect it . As far as this annoying "bleaching" of my screenshots, as I was reviewing those "at work", turns out this all has to do with the "flatscreen" monitor . It actually is very sensistive to the exact "angle" at which you look at it . I readjusted ("tilted") the flatscreen a bit, so that my eyesight would now be perfectly perpendicular to the screen ( e.g : at 90 degrees ), and this "darkened" the visible screenshots, right back to how this looked on my Home Computer "monitor" . "One of those things " , right ? Here's the link below . Thanks to David Hancock, for his BCR / BC RAIL RS 18's repaints !'-) Jean Brisson Mesa Grande Shops mesagrandeshops@yahoo.ca BC Rail Train Sim screenshots www.flickr.com/search/people/?q=BC+RAIL+Models&m=names
